Philippine Council Of Management

The Philippine Council of Management (PHILCOMAN) is a non-profit, non-political federation of professional and technological societies, management developments, institutions, academe, business enterprises, and professional managers dedicated to the development and innovation of management practices of all aspects of Philippine society.

PHILCOMAN was founded in 1954 by 10 associations and organized groups under the inspirational guidance of Dr. Lilian M. Gilbreth and co-founded by Frederick W. Taylor of the Scientific School of Management in the United States. Dean Cesar H. Concio was the founding PHILCOMAN President serving until 1963. Scientific School of Management is the first mother school of management which was co-founded by F. W. Taylor, Frank Gilbreth and Henry Gantt (inventor of the Gantt Chart). The Philippine Council of Management (PHILCOMAN) has chalked up a continuing series of achievements in its 57th year history. In fulfillment of its mission to propagate the principles and practice of scientific management in the Asian region, PHILCOMAN has hosted two international management congresses and 37 congresses.
